Cyril Gamorak

Kirill Semenovich Gamorak ( Ukrainian, Kirilo Semenovich Gamorak ; 1837 , p. Stetseva , Pokutye (now Snyatyn district of Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine ) - 1909 , ibid.) - Ukrainian priest of the UGCC , public figure. Galitsky Russophile .

Biography

Born in the family of a priest. In addition to worship, he actively participated in social and cultural life. He maintained close contacts with A. Barvinsky , L. Martovich , M. Pavlik , K. Trilevsky , I. Franko .

Belonged to the moderate wing of the national democrats of Galicia. Twice elected ambassador (deputy) of the Galician Sejm (1889 and 1895).

He was awarded the Church Golden Cross for his services.

The daughter of K. Gamorak was the wife of the writer V. S. Stefanik .
