Located 8 km from the district center and 80 km from the Torbeevo railway station. Anthroponym name: by the name of the owner of the settlement of the Tatar prince Akchur Karaev . It was founded in the 17th century. as the Russian community as part of the Tatar village of Karaevo, as service people of the Temnikovsky zasechny line . In the "List of Populated Places of the Tambov Province" (1866) Russkoye Karaevo is an owner village from 41 courtyards of Temnikovsky district . According to the agricultural tax accounting of 1930, there were 156 yards in the village (786 people). In 1936, the collective farm was established to them. Voroshilov, since 1956 - to them.
