Located on the Lavov River, 28 km from the district center and 73 km from the Torbeevo railway station. Anthroponym name: the owner of this locality was Lavrenty Tepeev , a serving Tatar on the Temnikovsky notch line , as mentioned in the “Controversial Case of the Land of the Landowner Polocheninov with the Sarov Monastery” (1731). In the “List of Populated Places of the Tambov Province” (1866), Lavrentievo has a property village of 55 yards (397 people) in Temnikovsky Uyezd . According to the agricultural tax accounting of 1930, there were 173 yards (825 people) in Lavrentiev. In the 1930s the collective farm “Red Banner” was created, from the beginning of the 1990s - SKHPK, from 1999 - 2 K (F) X. The village has a basic school, a cultural center, a post office, a first-aid post, and a store. Lavrentievo is the birthplace of Hero of the Soviet Union A.I. Semikov . The Lavrentievsky rural administration includes the village. Cheerful (84 people), Robin (6), Shumilovka (6), Yuzga (1), Nikolaevka village (12 people).
