Content
History
The diocese was formed on June 15, 2004 by allocating the eleven parish districts of the Archdiocese of Barcelona to the new diocese.
Current status
The diocese unites the parishes north of Barcelona . Since its founding, the diocese has been led by Bishop Josep Angel Sais Meneses . In 2010, the vicar Bishop Salvador Cristau Kohl was appointed to help him. Diocese Cathedral - The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit , bears the honorary status of a small basilica . As of 2010, the diocese numbered 1,222,420 believers, 119 parishes, and 179 priests [1] .
