Biography

Ivan Sergeevich Kuchin was born on January 21, 1924 in a peasant family in the village of Berezovka, Kozlovsky district, Tambov province (now Petrovsky district, Tambov region ). Since 1942, in the army, at the same time begins to print the first poems in the frontline newspaper. After the war he graduated from the faculty of Russian language and literature of the Tambov Pedagogical Institute . He was published in central newspapers and magazines, in the anthology " Poetry ", " Day of Poetry ." Many works are devoted to the theme of war [2] :

“... I was taken with the front line in a sleigh,
Harnessed by lazy oxen,
And the girl, just a girl
Waving stick:
- Oh, oh! Tsobe! Wow! ..

Well, uncle ... Nice ... Don’t die! ..
Do not die ... Do not!
Uncle, dear! ..
But why - uncle?

Why?
Such a title offended me ...
Then I was
eighteen years."

After the publication of the poem “Unforgettable” in the newspaper “ Pravda ”, that girl was found - Tatyana Semenovna Yangolenko, when she begged the eighteen-year-old “uncle” not to die, she was sixteen.

The poet died on October 10, 2000 in Tambov [2] .
