Crimean lizard [1] ( lat. Podarcis tauricus ) is a species of wall lizards of the family of real lizards ( Lacertidae ).

The total length reaches 20-24 cm. The color on top has a greenish or brownish color with two longitudinal rows of dark spots. The belly in males is yellowish or orange, and in females it is greenish or white. The body is a little compressed, the head is short, the tail is rather long.
He loves grassy areas, steppes, grassy sand dunes, roadsides, walls, found in the mountains at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level. It feeds on insects and small invertebrates. Has the ability to drop tail.
