Career
Pupil of IC “Izhplaneta” (coach - V. A. Korobeinikov). Since 1983, he began to play in the second league with Izhevsk Zenit as a midfielder. In 1988, the team won the union’s cup in Azov , and after winning the pre-season tournament in Leningrad, Kholmogorov received an offer from the local Zenit . He failed to break through to the base, played the first round in a double and spent four games for the Federation Cup , after which he returned to Izhevsk, where he won the RSFSR Cup for clubs of the second league.
In 1993, Kholmogorov moved to another Izhevsk club - Gazovik-Gazprom . In 1996, he received a complex leg fracture, gained weight and stopped falling into the composition. In 1997, at the invitation of the head coach Alexander Salnov, he moved to Novostroitskaya Nosta , where he began to play in the position of the last defender. In 1997-1998 he played for the Mias UralAZ , where he became captain. Then he returned to Gazovik-Gazprom, where he ended his career in 2000.
Midfielder played in the middle of the field. Most goals were scored from “standards”, becoming the best penalty shooter in the history of Udmurt football. He played 535 matches in the national championships and scored 77 goals, including 474 matches and 62 goals for Izhevsk clubs. [one]
He graduated from Udmurt State University and the Higher School of Trainers, coach of the highest category. In 2002, from August 2003 and in 2004 he coached Izhevsk (in 2002-2003 - Dynamo).
He died on January 31, 2006, at the age of 41, in training at the SDYUSSHOR stadium from cardiac arrest.
Since 2006, in April, the All-Russian tournament dedicated to the memory of Kholmogorov began to be held in the Children's Sports School of Izhevsk.
