Biography

He began to engage in underwater sports in the army on the basis of SKA ( Novosibirsk ). Multiple champion of the USSR, Europe and the world in underwater orienteering. European champion in speed swimming.

In the fall of 1975, he was the first Soviet scuba diver to be awarded the title of Honored Master of Sports of the USSR. In January 1977 he was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor.

After the end of his sports career he became a coach.
