History

The village of Kirikov is mentioned on the map of the St. Petersburg province of 1792, A. M. Wilbrecht [2] .

On the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834, the village of Kirikov and the adjacent village of Grabukhina are indicated [3] .

KIRIKOVA - the village belongs to the Treasury, the number of inhabitants under the audit: 78 m., 79 g. paragraph [4] . (1838)

The village of Kirikov from 26 peasant households is marked on the map of F. F. Schubert in 1844 [5] .

KIRIKOVO - the village of Mr. Kamensky and Putyatina, on a country road, the number of yards - 27, the number of souls - 167 m. [6] (1856)

According to the map from the “Historical Atlas of the St. Petersburg Province” of 1863, the village was called Kirikova , adjacent to it was the village of Grabukhina [8] .

In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Shakhnovsky volost of the 3rd camp of the Novoladozh district of the St. Petersburg province.

From 1917 to 1923, the village was part of the Kirikov village council of the Shakhnovsky volost of Novoladozh district.

Since 1923, as part of the Pasha volost of the Volkhov district .

Since 1927, as part of the Pash district . In 1927, the population of the village was 104 people [9] .

According to 1933, the village of Kirikovo was the administrative center of the Kirikovsky village council of the Pash district of the Leningrad region, which included 7 settlements: the villages of Baklanovo, Gorbukhino, Elokhovo, Zakharova, Kirikovo , Lyakhsh and Shuryagsky Karaulki, with a total population of 877 people [10] .

According to data from 1936, the Kirikovsky Village Council included 7 settlements, 178 households, and 1 collective farm [11] .

Since 1955, as part of the Novoladozhsky district .

In 1958, the population of the village was 98 people.

Since 1963, as part of the Volkhov district [9] .

According to the data of 1966 and 1973, the village of Kirikovo was also part of the Kirikovsky village council of the Volkhov district and was its administrative center [12] [13] .

According to 1990 data, the village of Kirikovo was part of the Potaninsky Village Council [14] .

In 1997, 40 people lived in the village of Kirikovo in the Potaninsky volost, in 2002 - 39 people (Russians - 97%) [15] [16] .

Geography

The village is located in the north-eastern part of the district on the highway 41K-384 ( Shakhnovo - Voronovo - Kirikovo).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 15 km [17] . The distance to the district center is 65 km [18] .

The distance to the nearest railway station of Yuga is 20 km [12] .

The village is located on the shore of Lake Ladoga at Cape Shuryagsky Nose.
