Ibrahim Pasha Palace ( Turkish: İbrahim Paşa Sarayı ) is a building on Istanbul ’s Sultanahmet Square , the former residence of the great Ottoman Empire Vizier Pargala Ibrahim Pasha . Monument of Ottoman architecture of the XVI century [1] .

The palace was built on the territory of the Hippodrome of Constantinople (now Sultanahmet Square), the start and end dates of construction work are not known. It is only known that in 1521 the building underwent repairs. The palace got its name from Pargaly Ibrahim Pasha who lived in it (1494 - 1536). Ibrahim Pasha was the husband of the sister of Sultan Suleiman I , Hatice .
After the execution of Ibrahim Pasha, the palace was the residence of subsequent great viziers. Later it housed an embassy, sewing workshops, a military band and a prison [1] . Since 1938, the palace houses a museum of Turkish and Islamic art .
