Konstantin Goretsky was born on December 18, 1870 . He graduated from high school in Kutaisi , then the Tiflis infantry cadet school and the commandant course in the first category. Since June 1888 - in the service of the Russian Imperial Army. Initially served in the infantry regiment, and later - in various quartermaster offices. In 1909 - 1910 he headed the department of the Main Quartermaster's Office, in 1910-1911 - the accountant department of the same department. Since October 1911, Goretsky held the position of assistant to the chief quartermaster of the Ministry of War of the Russian Empire . December 6, 1914 he was awarded the rank of Major General [1] .

After the Bolsheviks came to power, he worked in the Supply Department of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army and Navy . He was the author or editor of many works on housekeeping, paperwork and reporting in units, organization of supply of parts . For his great labor achievements, on September 12, 1928, he was awarded the title of Hero of Labor [2] . He died on March 5, 1947, was buried in the columbarium of the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow [1] .

He was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 3rd degree with swords and bow, St. Vladimir of the 3rd and 4th degrees, St. Stanislav of the 1st degree [1] .
