It is located on the Pischle River , 13 km from the district center and 4 km from the Paygarm railway station. The name is hydronym. The definition of "Mordovian" indicates the ethnic composition of the population. According to the document “Composition of the male population of the Zavalny and Rudninsky camps of the Saransk district for 1725”, there were 151, in 1732, 163 male souls. According to the “List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire” (1864), Pislya is a state-owned village of 170 yards (1,183 people); there was a fixed apartment. According to the census of 1913, there were 332 yards in Pischl (2,182 people); parish school, credit partnership, fire truck, 2 forges, 5 bakeries, 2 sheepskin establishments, a wool brush, 9 windmills and 1 with an oil engine, 6 grain stores, 1 wine shop, 2 beer shops and 7 mixed shops. According to the “List of settlements of the Middle Volga Region” (1931), in Mordovia Pisl there were 495 yards (2,460 people). In the early 1930s. 3 collective farms were organized, in 1955 - an enlarged collective farm named after A. P. Baikuzov, since 1960 - branch number 6 of the farm "Shishkeevsky", since 1965 - the farm "Dawn", since 1973 - to them. Baykuzova, since 1998 - 3 K (F) X (specialization - dairy farming).

In a modern village - a secondary school, 2 libraries, a cultural center, a shop, a post office; an obelisk to soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War; Nativity of the Theotokos Church. Mordovian Pislya is the birthplace of writer Yu. F. Kuznetsov, Honored Worker of Transport of the Russian Federation V.V. Chadin, State Prize of the Republic of Mordovia, Candidate of Philological Sciences A. N. Kelina, Honored Doctor of the MASSR N. N. Timofeeva. The Mordovian-Pishlinsky rural administration includes s. Bulgaki (10 people) and Teplovka (6), the village of Mordovia Polyanka (27 people).
