Tisio (subway station)

" Tisio " ( Fisio , Greek Θησείο ) - the Athens metro station in the ISAP . Located at a distance of 8603 meters from the metro station "Piraeus". The station received its name from the Hephaestus located near the Temple . The latter was also previously known as Tisio, because it was mistakenly considered the temple of Theseus .

The station was opened on February 27, 1869 [1] . In 2004, before the opening of the 2004 Summer Olympic Games, the station was reconstructed. Tisza was the first railway station built in the city of Athens.
