Peter Mikhailovich Rozhanovich was born on April 1, 1906 in Tbilisi. In the Worker and Peasant Red Army since October 1924 . In 1928 he graduated from the 1st Leningrad Artillery School, in 1934 - from the F.E. Derzhinsky Military Artillery Academy, in 1937 he graduated from the M.V. Frunze Military Academy . Since June 1940, he commanded the 378th howitzer artillery regiment of the 155th Rifle Division [1] .

In the same position, he met the beginning of World War II, on her third day he was appointed commander of the 141st howitzer artillery regiment of the 155th Rifle Division, which led combat operations as part of the 13th Army in Belarus. In November 1941, he was appointed chief of the operational department of the artillery headquarters of the Volkhov Front. Since May 1942, he commanded the 1197th howitzer artillery regiment of combat vehicles of the High Command Reserve. In November 1942, Rozhanovich was appointed commander of the 8th artillery division of the breakthrough of the Reserve of the High Command [1] .

After the war, Rozhanovich continued to serve in the Soviet Army, and commanded the 6th breakthrough artillery corps. He died on August 31, 1948, was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow [1] .

He was awarded two Orders of Lenin , the Order of the Red Banner , the Order of Suvorov of the 2nd degree , the Order of Kutuzov of the 2nd degree , the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky of the 2nd degree , a number of medals [1] .
