History
Since the 16th century, Polish brothers lived in the village. In 1557, their Synod took place in Ivanovice-Wloczyansk. After the village became the property of the noble family of Dluski, the villagers gradually converted to Catholicism. The church of Polish brothers was converted into a Catholic church and, after renovation, was consecrated in 1624. During the Polish uprising of 1963, detachments of Colonel Apolinarius Kurovsky were stationed in Ivanovice-Wloczyansk. During this uprising, the vicinity of the village was the site of a battle between the Russian army and the rebels. After the defeat of the uprising, the retreating units of General Samuel Rozhitsky passed through the village to go abroad.
