Leonid Tsipes was the winner of the USSR Cup in 1970, the winner of the championship of the DSO of trade unions in 1975 and the silver medalist of 1973. Represented by the Avangard Society (Kharkov) [4] . He was president of the Drafts Federation of Kharkov [5] .
