History
The foundation of the monastery is connected with the activities of his current (2019) rector - Scheiarchimandrite Vasily (Grolimund), a Swiss by birth, who, after eleven years spent in the monasteries of Mount Athos , received a blessing from Paisius Svyatogorets to arrange monastic life in Europe. After moving to Europe, he initially lived in France, and later moved to Germany, where in 1989, along with his fellow believers, he acquired the building of a former hotel, adapted for the liturgical and economic activities of the monastery. Bishop of Central Europe Constantine (Djokic) accepted the monastic fraternity into the jurisdiction of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
The house church in the monastery is located on the second floor of the building. Most of the icons in the iconostasis were created by the icon painter Alexander Stolyarov [2] . Part of the liturgical utensils used in the monastery belonged to Justin (Popovich) and is preserved as relics.
For the reception of pilgrims and workers, near the city of Fulda , the Blagoveshchensk Justinova Deserts was formed - a skitsky courtyard [3] [4] .
The spoken and liturgical language is German. For pilgrims, Serbian, Greek, Church Slavonic, English and French are also used.
