Biography

In 1933 he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade. Doctor of Medical Sciences.

In 1935 he joined the Communist Party of Yugoslavia (CPY). Member of hostilities during the Spanish Civil War (1936-39), a doctor in the Republican forces as part of the Juro Djakovic battalion .

  • 1941-1948 - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Serbia; Member of the Anti-Fascist Party of the Liberation of Yugoslavia,
  • 1945-1948 - Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Serbia,
  • 1948-1952 - Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Socialist Republic of Finland, simultaneously in 1948-1951 - Chairman of the State Control Commission of the Federal Republic of Federal Law.

At the V Congress of the Union of Communists of Yugoslavia (1948) he was elected a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party.

In October 1952, the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine appointed a special commission to investigate Neshkovich’s support for the resolution of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia, following which in November of that year he was expelled from the Communist Party. Subsequently, he was at a scientific work, was a researcher and head of the laboratory of experimental oncology, medical faculty of the University of Belgrade. The author of memoirs.

Awards and titles

He was awarded the Order of National Liberation and the Medal “Partisan Memory”.
