The village is located 4 km from the administrative center of the county of Miechow and 36 km from the administrative center of the province of Krakow [2] .
Until 1954, the village was the administrative center of the abolished commune Velko Zaguž. In 1975-1998, the village was part of the Kielce Voivodeship .
