Geography
The village of Maksimovka is located in the southwestern part of the Voskresensky district, about 8 km southwest of the city of Voskresensk . Altitude 145 m [3] . The village has 5 streets, attributed to SNT Progress-94 and the territory of Swallow [4] . The nearest settlement is the village of Nevskoye .
History
The lands on which Maksimovka is located in the second half of the 18th century were called the “latrine field of the village of Bubnovo, Goltyaevo identity”. According to the 5th revision of 1795, on the site of the former “latrine field” there is a newly-built village of Maksimovka — 12 peasant households, 45 male and 51 female souls, and a total of 96 residents [5] .
Economic notes to the Pavlovsky land surveying (circa 1800) describe Maksimovka in the following terms: “Seltso on a dry land by the pond, with fish planted in it - crucian carp. Cottage on the right bank of the river Gretskaya, Gryaznovka identity. The master’s house is wooden, and with it a garden with prolific trees. The earth is gray-clay and to the harvest of bread: rye, oats and buckwheat is quite capable; mowing is mediocre (i.e. medium quality). The forest is wood: birch and aspen, there are animals: hares, birds: black grouse, blackbirds and nightingales. Peasants on arable land and (more) fishing do not have ... The property is quite prosperous ” [5] .
In 1926, the village was part of the Stepanshinsky village council of the Chaplyzhen volost of the Bronnitsky district of Moscow province [6] .
Since 1929 - a settlement as part of the Voskresensky district of the Kolomna district of the Moscow region, since 1930, in connection with the abolition of the district, - as part of the Voskresensky district of the Moscow region.
Before the municipal reform of 2006, Maksimovka was part of the Stepanshchinsky rural district of the Voskresensky district [7] .
Population
In 1926, 67 people lived in the village (26 men, 41 women), there were 13 peasant farms [6] . According to the 2002 census, there were 394 people (195 men, 199 women) [8] .
