Biography

He started playing football in the Kaliningrad Youth Sports School “Baltika”, the first coaches were Peter Zakharov and Yuri Revebtsov . After leaving school from 1971 to 1973 he served in the army, playing for the Pacific Fleet team. After demobilization, he played in the Kaliningrad Quartz, and in 1974 he got into the Baltics, played 17 matches and scored 4 goals. In 1975 he moved to the Kuibyshev “Wings of the Soviets” , who played in the First League. Together with the club he entered the Premier League, in which over the next three seasons he played 23 matches and scored twice. Later he played in the First and Second leagues for Izhevsk Zenit , Voronezh Fakel , Kharkiv Metalist and Atlantika club from Sevastopol . After his career, the player worked in the Kaliningrad trading port. Son - football player Yuri Shelenkov .
