Car

In the first season, all teams use the Spark-Renault SRT 01E electric racing car built by Spark Racing Technology. The car uses a Dallara chassis , an McLaren electric motor (the same electric motor is used in the P1 supercar ), a Williams F1 battery pack and a five-speed Hewland gearbox. The official supplier of tires is Michelin . [4] [5] [6] For the first season, the FIA purchased 42 cars. [7]

Teams and Pilots

In the 2014–15 season, 10 teams are participating. Each team consists of two pilots; each pilot has two cars. All teams have a technical base in Donington , in the UK, but the presence of teams there is not the same.

Confirmation of participation for all ten teams was received in April 2014. [8] In June 2014, Drayson Racing was replaced by Trulli GP , a team founded by former Formula 1 driver Jarno Trulli . Drayson remains the technology partner of Trulli GP. [9]

Race Calendar

The season lasted from September 2014 to June 2015 and consisted of 11 races. The final version of the calendar was approved by the International Automobile Federation in December 2013. [2] In April 2014, the calendar was amended, in particular, the race in Rio de Janeiro , which had previously replaced the race in Hong Kong , was canceled. The Los Angeles race has been rescheduled for April 4. [8] On May 22, 2014, Los Angeles County officials announced that the stage would take place 40 km (25 miles) from the city on a modified version of the Long Beach Grand Prix circuit. [43] On February 3, 2015, it was announced that one of the stages would be held in Moscow on June 6. [44]
