Geographical position
Otar village council The village council is located northeast of Vorotynts on the right bank of the Volga River at the mouth of the Sura River. The village council, in addition to Otar, includes 7 settlements. The village council in the west borders with the Fokinsky and Chugunovsky village councils , in the south with the Semyansky village council , in the east beyond the mouth of the Sura is Vasilsursk , with which the Otarsky village council is connected by ferry.
