Biography
He was born on May 16, 1908 in the village of Sabanchino now in the Kiyasovsky district of Udmurtia.
In the army since June 2, 1941. He fought on the Volkhov front , near Stalingrad, on the Central, Voronezh and 1st Ukrainian fronts.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 29, 1943, for skillfully and quickly crossing the Dnieper, firmly securing the bridgehead on the west bank and showing courage and heroism, Sergeant Nikolai Vasilyevich Chikurov was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .
He lived in the village of Pugachevo, Malopurginsky district of Udmurtia . November 7, 1971 he died in Kazakhstan.
He was awarded the Orders of Lenin , World War II degree, medals.
