Predtechensk is a village in the Kirovsky district of Tomsk [2] [3] and the railway station of the same name with a passenger platform of the Tomsk branch of the West Siberian Railway [1] [4] .

The village is located along the Bogashevsky tract , next to the village of Prostorny (also - Kirovsky district of Tomsk) and the village of Zonalnaya Station ( Tomsky district ) [3] .
History
In the 19th century, on the site of the present Predtechensk settlement was located the Tomsk John the Baptist Convent (from which the village got its name) [3] . In 1897, a wooden church was laid in the capture, and in 1899, a wooden church was dedicated in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “ It is worthy to eat, ” the funds for the construction of which were donated by Mother Superior Seraphim and other private individuals [3] .
In 1923, the Provincial Union of Consumer Societies decided to disassemble the church, and use its material to build school buildings and the club "glass-making" plant, and other buildings to convert into residential houses for families of factory workers [3] .
Not later than 1996 [2] the village became part of Tomsk [3] [2] .
Earlier in Predtechensk there was a railway line 71 km, which, with the construction of the access road to a neighboring industrial enterprise, was transformed into the station Predtechensk .
