Country of residence: Djibouti , Eritrea , Ethiopia , Somalia , Sudan . This species can be found at altitudes from sea level to 2,000 or even 2,500 m. It occupies various habitats: open meadows, steppes and savannas, desert areas with a certain number of shrubs.

Behavior

There is an assumption that is nocturnal.

Morphological features

The length of the head and body of this species is 40.0–55.0 cm. Weight is about 2 kg. The color of the back is reddish-brown with a black striated pattern. The upper side of the tail is black, the lower side is white. The ears are very long.
