Scolopendra galapagoensis (lat.) Is a species of canine centipedes ( Chilopoda ) from the genus Scolopendra ( Scolopendra ). Presumably one of the largest species of scolopendra. Habitats are - Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Northern Peru, the western slopes of the Andes, Chatham Island [1] [2] .

Large species, considered one of the largest in the family. It has an average of twenty segments. The first 4-7 segments of the antennae have a bluish tint, the rest are bright orange, less often red as with the jaws. The legs are orange. The last one or several pairs of legs pass from orange to dull red [1] .
