Biography

Krupsky Ivan Vasilievich was born on January 20, 1901 in the village of Rymarovka of the Gadyachsky district of the Poltava province in a peasant family [1] . Ukrainian . In the Red Army since September 1922. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1925 [2] .

Before the war

In the Red Army, I.V. Krupsky from September 1922 as a Red Army soldier. In the summer of 1923 he entered the Red Air Fleet Military Preparatory School, which was reorganized in January 1925 into the Leningrad Military Theoretical School of the Red Army Air Force . In 1926 he was sent for further training to the 1st military school of pilots named after A.F. Myasnikov , at the end of which he remained an instructor in it. In October 1931 he was admitted to the KUNS at the Air Force Academy of the Red Army. Professor N. E. After training at the Higher Flight and Tactical School in July 1938 he was appointed assistant commander of the 3rd Assault Aviation Regiment , and in November - the commander of the 6th Assault Aviation Regiment . In 1939, the deputy commander and widow of the commander of the 52nd Assault Aviation Brigade in Omsk, from August 1940 he was appointed to the Belarusian Special Military District as deputy commander of the 12th Mixed Aviation Division .

Participation in the Great Patriotic War

I.V. Krupsky met the Great Patriotic War on June 22, 1941 in his former position on the Western Front , since September 1941 - commander of the 12th mixed aviation division . He participated in the border battle, then in the battle of Smolensk , the Battle of Moscow . In April 1942 he was appointed deputy commander of the Air Force of the 16th Army , in July - commander of the 3rd separate training training regiment of the 1st Air Army of the same front, in November - commander of the 2nd99th Assault Aviation Division (from August 1944. - 11th Guards Assault Aviation Division ).

During the Battle of Kursk and the Belarusian strategic offensive, IV Krupsky “... managed to properly organize the combat work of attack aircraft, as a result of which great damage was caused to enemy manpower and equipment, especially during the battles for the city of Nizhyn , for which the division received an honorary name "Nezhinskaya" "

In August 1944, I.V. Krupsky was the commander of the 1st Mixed Aviation Corps (from September 1944 - the 9th Assault Aviation Corps ), which participated in operations:

After the war

After the war, I.V. Krupsky continued to command the corps in the Group of Soviet Occupation Forces in Germany ,

  • from May 1946 - commanded the Air Force of the South Ural Military District
  • since April 1948 - student of the Higher Attestation Commission at the Higher Military Academy. K. E. Voroshilova, after which from December he continued his studies at the aviation faculty of this academy
  • since February 1950 - assistant commander for the combatant unit of the 37th Air Army
  • since July 1950 - Air Force Commander of the Voronezh Military District
  • since March 1953 - Head of the Assault Aviation Department of the Red Banner Air Force Academy [5] .
  • since January 1957, I.V. Krupsky, retired. He continued to teach at the academy .

He died in February 1988 in Monino .
