Biography
Born on November 26, 1920 in the village of Cherevatovo, now Diveyevo district, Nizhny Novgorod region .
In the army since February 7, 1942. At the front since May 1942. He fought on the Western, Voronezh, Central fronts. He liberated Ukraine.
He distinguished himself when crossing the Dnieper. September 27, 1943 ferried infantry units, making 8 ferries.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 17, 1943, for the courage and heroism shown during the crossing of the Dnieper, Corporal Shalashkov Nikolai Ilyich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union .
November 24, 1943 went missing.
He was awarded the Orders of Lenin , Red Star , the medal "For Courage".
