Monetu street ( Latvian: Monētu iela , Monetnaya street ) is a very short (60 meters [1] ) street in Riga , in the historic Old Town district. It leads from Skarnyu street to Peterbaznitsas street , passes through the courtyard of house No. 2 on Kalkyu street (1957, architect O. Tilmanis ), borders the area near St. Peter's Church from the west.

History
It is mentioned in documents in 1846 as Bolshaya Monetnaya street ( Latvian: Lielā Monētu Iela } [2] . Between it and Peter's church there was another street - Malaya Petrotserkovnaya, a section of which (now adjoining Peteraznitsas street ) became part of the modern Moneta street [ 3] .
Since the entire development of Moneta Street died during the Second World War [4] and today no buildings are listed on Moneta Street, this street is considered lost in many sources, including official ones.
