Geography
The village of Zolotovo is located in the northern part of the Voskresensky district, about 13 km north-west of the city of Voskresensk . Altitude 111 m [3] . 1 km west of the village flows the Moscow River. There are 12 streets in the village, 13 SNT are attributed [4] . The nearest settlement is the village of Vinogradovo .
Title
The name is associated with the non-calendar personal name Gold [5] .
History
In 1926, the village was the center of the Zolotovsky village council of the Mikhalevsky volost of the Bronnitsky district of Moscow province [6] .
Since 1929 - a settlement within the Ashitkovsky district of the Kolomna district of the Moscow region, since 1930, in connection with the abolition of the district and renaming of the district - as part of the Vinogradovsky district of the Moscow region. In 1957, after the Vinogradovsky district was abolished, the village was transferred to the Voskresensky district.
Before the municipal reform of 2006, Zolotovo was part of the Vinogradovsky rural district of the Voskresensky district [7] .
Population
In 1926, 1877 people lived in the village (853 men, 1,024 women), there were 374 households, of which 247 were peasant [6] . According to the 2002 census , 1318 people (584 men, 734 women) [8] .
