The administrative building of the compound is located on Fedosova Petrozavodsk Street in the Republic of Karelia .
The building was built at the beginning of the 20th century under the patronage of the doctor of medicine Ilya Shekhman for placement in it the eye department of the hospital of the provincial zemstvo and was solemnly consecrated on January 14, 1909 [1] . Near the building it is planned to build a church in the name of All Karelian saints [2] .
The compound includes all the churches located on the territory of the Kizhi Museum-Reserve , the Church in the Name of the Holy and Life-Giving Spirit (Petrozavodsk) and the administrative building.
The Patriarchal Compound was founded by decree of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II in June 2003. Consecrated on June 16, 2008. The rite of consecration was performed by the rector of the courtyard Archpriest Nikolai Ozolin [3] . By this time, a project was prepared for the reconstruction of the building and construction in the courtyard of the temple, residential and household buildings (total estimated cost - 380 million rubles) [4] .
The Patriarchal Compound has its own coat of arms, approved by the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia and the Heraldic Council under the President of the Russian Federation.
