Biography
She received a bachelor 's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Tulane (Tulane University of Louisiana). After graduating from Princeton University, she received a master 's degree in chemical engineering.
From February 28, 2006 to November 30, 2008, she served as Commissioner for the New Jersey State Department of the Environment.
From December 1, 2008 to December 15, 2008, she was the head of the New Jersey Governor, John Cart .
From January 23, 2009 to February 19, 2013 she was the administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency under the administration of President Barack Obama .
On May 28, 2013, Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook at the D11 conference told The Wall Street Journal columnist Walt Mossberg that Lisa Jackson would join Apple’s management [2] . At Apple, she is vice president, reporting directly to Tim Cook and overseeing Apple’s environmental initiatives [3] .
She is also a member of the boards of Princeton University and Tulane University, and of the Board of the Bill Clinton Charity Foundation - which deals with AIDS , global warming and childhood obesity.
