Tauron Arena Krakow ( Polish: Tauron Arena Kraków ) is a multifunctional indoor sports arena located in the Polish city of Krakow . The capacity of the arena can range from 11,554 to 22,000 spectators [1], and according to this indicator, the structure is the largest among similar in the country [2] . Construction of the facility began in May 2011 and ended in April 2014. The opening took place on May 12, 2014.

Content
History
In 2008, within the framework of the international architectural competition, a building project was elected, which was developed by a consortium of companies Perbo-Projekt Sp. z oo ”from Krakow and“ Modern Construction Systems Sp. z oo ”from Poznan (the latter also created a project for the reconstruction of the City Stadium in Poznan for Euro 2012 ). In April and September 2009 a building permit was granted. April 21, 2011 in Krakow, an agreement was signed for the construction of the arena. As a result of the tender, a consortium of four companies was selected as the general contractor: Mostostal Warszawa SA , Acciona Infraestructuras SA, Mostostal Puławy SA and Asseco Poland SA. Construction began in May 2011 and continued until April 2014. On September 30, 2013, the official graphic logo of Krakow Arena was introduced.
