Biography
Born on May 12, 1933 in the village of Nizhny Naur. The family had seven sons, and Supyan was the eldest of them. During the years of deportation, the family lived in Almaty . In school, he was engaged in gymnastics . In 1952, fell ill with peritonitis . After six months recovered, but the gymnastics had to be left.
In 1953, coach Vasily Voronkin opened the first sambo section in Almaty. Zubairaev came to this section. A year later, Supyan became the champion of the Kazakh SSR and was included in the national team of Kazakhstan. At this time, besides the sambo championship, he also won the republic championships in freestyle and classical wrestling , was engaged in weightlifting [1] .
In 1954 he entered the Institute of Physical Education in Kazakhstan. He studied well, but the next year he took the documents and transferred to the Institute of Physical Education in Moscow ( SCOLIFK ). Here his coach was Yevgeny Chumakov . In 1958 he began working as a trainer in the sambo section of the Moscow State Forest University [1] .
In 1959, the family returned to their homeland. Zubairaev began working as a teacher at the Department of Physical Education at the Chechen-Ingush Pedagogical Institute and at the same time as a freestyle wrestling coach in the Burevestnik student society. However, being an active athlete, he did not have a coach and the conditions for full-fledged training. Therefore, he returned to the Moscow Forestry Institute and resumed training [2] .
In 1961 he became a graduate student , and then an associate professor at the State Center for Applied Physics, defended his thesis [2] .
In 1955, he participated in the USSR Championship and took the 9th place. In 1956 he became a master of sports of the USSR . In 1958 and 1960, he became the silver medalist of the USSR championships, and in 1959 - bronze. In 1962 in Chisinau, in the national championship finals , he won a painful hold on A. Pukhashvili and became the champion of the USSR - the first among Chechens. Participated in competitions until 1970. In 1970, at his last competition at the age of 37, he won the Burevestnik society championship, beating the final of the current USSR champion Vladimir Pokatayev [1] .
In 1968-1971 he headed the department at the Moscow State University of Service [1] .
In 1971–1974 he worked in Afghanistan as head of the department of physical education at the Kabul Polytechnic Institute . The King of Afghanistan Zahir Shah awarded him two orders, one of which gave Zubairaev the right to receive half a hectare of land and one wife [1] .
In 1977-1980 he was the coach of the Cuban freestyle wrestling team [1] .
Among his pupils are Degi Bagaev , Ivan Tischenkov, Yury Yermoshkin, Victor Pikul, Mohammed Umarov, Vitaly Biryukov and other athletes. His brother Sultan became a master of sport in sambo and freestyle wrestling [1] .

Memory
In the city of Mytishchi is held the All-Russian youth sambo tournament “Mytishchi dawns” for the prizes of the USSR champion Supyan Lechievich Zubairaev.
