Biography

Born into a peasant family, Karelian . He graduated from elementary school in the village of Kolvasozero , worked as a clerk.

In 1917, after being demobilized from the army, he was elected a member of the Povenets district executive committee, since 1918 - a member of the RCP (b) .

In 1919-1920 - Head of the Department of the Olonets Provincial Food Committee.

In 1920, at the 1st All-Karelian Congress of Soviets, he was elected a member of the Karelian Revolutionary Committee, in 1920-1923 - deputy chairman of the Council of National Economy of the Karelian Labor Commune , member of the Karispolcom.

In 1923-1927 - People's Commissar of Agriculture of the Karelian Autonomous SSR, Chairman of the Petrozavodsk District Executive Committee, member of the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee of the Karelian Autonomous SSR.

In 1927-1930 and 1935-1936 - Secretary of the CEC of the Autonomous Karelian SSR . In 1932-1933 - Chairman of the Kandalaksha City Executive Committee. In 1933-1935 - Deputy Chairman of the Petrozavodsk City Council. In 1936-1937 - Chairman of the Kondopoga District Executive Committee, member of the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee.

In 1937 he was expelled from the RCP (b) . Arrested on July 25, 1937. Convicted on January 4, 1938 under article 58-10-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR as an “enemy of the people." Shot in the vicinity of Petrozavodsk on January 14, 1938.

He was posthumously rehabilitated on July 18, 1956 by the Supreme Court of the USSR.
