Geography
The village is located near the main passage of the Trans-Siberian Railway .
History
According to the Lists of populated places of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village belonged to the 2nd camp of the Galich district of the Kostroma province . There were 8 yards in it , 32 men and 31 women lived. [2]
According to the 1897 census , 90 people lived in the village (38 men and 52 women). [3]
According to the List of populated areas of the Kostroma province in 1907, the village belonged to the Bogchinsky volost of the Galich district of the Kostroma province . According to the volost government, in 1907 there were 20 peasant households and 113 inhabitants. There was a railway station in the village. The main occupations of the villagers, in addition to agriculture, were painting and farming. [3]
