Biography

Played as a goalkeeper. He played in the Second League of Ukraine for the Belgorod-Dniester Dniester and Ilyichevsk Portovik , as well as for a number of amateur clubs from Odessa and Odessa region .

Arbitrator career

Boyko began to judge the matches of the championship of Ukraine in 2008. Three years later, on January 1, 2011, he became the FIFA arbiter [1] . His debut in the international arena took place in February 2011 and came in a friendly match between Turkey and South Korea .

After working in several matches of the preliminary rounds of the Europa League and the qualifying matches of the tournaments of youth teams in September 2012, he made his debut in the group stage of the Europa League, having seized the match between the teams “ Olympic Lyon ” and “ Sparta ” (Prague).

On September 11, 2012, Boyko worked at the match of Sweden against Kazakhstan as part of the selection for the 2014 World Cup [2] .

In June 2013, he was one of the referees chosen by UEFA to work at the European Youth Championship in Israel . In this tournament, he condemned two matches of the group stage and the semi-finals ( Spain vs Norway ).

In February 2014, he made his debut in the playoffs of the Europa League.
