Kavalgytgyn is a bitter-salty lake of the type in the Providensky district of the Chukotka Autonomous Region of Russia . Located on the southern coast of the Mechigmen Bay , from which it is separated by a narrow sand-pebble [1] oblique. It is connected with the neighboring lake Tagryngytgyn , also the river Aypynvaam flows .

The name is translated from Chukot. - "Fiery Lake". This is due to the fact that the ice crack is constantly heard in severe frosts [2] .
