Svetlana Yurievna Sergeeva (born March 26, 1986 , Kargopol , Arkhangelsk Region , USSR ) is a Russian athlete, champion of the Paralympic Games [1] , world and Europe, world record holder [2] . Honored Master of Sports of Russia . Participant in the Paralympic torch relay "Sochi 2014" [3] .

Biography

Svetlana was born in Kargopol in 1986. Disabled person from birth - cerebral palsy with right-sided hemiparesis. Her uncle and aunt, physical education teachers, introduced her to the sport. Has been involved in sports since 2006, the first coach is Sergey Yuryevich Kodlozerov. She graduated from the Kargopol College at the rate of secretary-referent. In 2011, Svetlana twice became the silver medalist of the World Cup in the 200-meter race and in the relay race 4 in 100 meters. In 2012, she became the Paralympic champion in the relay 4 × 100 meters. [4] In 2014, at the European Championships, Svetlana Sergeeva won the first “gold” in javelin throwing, sending a 24-meter and one-centimeter projectile, and on the last day of the competition brought the national team one more award as part of the 4 × 100-meter relay team, setting up a new one world record.
