Armored Police Metal Jack ( Japanese ク 警察 メ タ ル ジ ャ ッ ク Kiko Keisatsu Metaru Jakaku ) - an anime series released jointly by Sunrise and Studio DEEN . It was broadcast on TV Tokyo from April 8, 1991 to December 12, 1991 , although it was originally planned that the series would be released 9 months later, namely from December 1991 to early 1992 . [1] Initially, the series was supposed to be the sequel to the Tokusatsu- series Dennou Keisatsu Cybercop , but as a result of preliminary negotiations, it was decided that this would be an anime series. In 1991, a series of fur-robot toys from an anime series was released. [3] A total of 37 anime episodes have been released. The series was also broadcast in Germany , the distributor was Nipponart . [four]
Story
The action takes place in the futuristic 2015, Tokyo is overwhelmed by cyber crime, murder and terrorism with which ordinary police are not able to cope. The city’s police department decides to form a squad consisting of strong and talented fighters using cyber costumes that increase their physical strength and abilities many times over.
One day, a criminal organization, Ido, poisons a robot to kill Zaizen, the young heir to giant Zaizen KONZERN, during a party in honor of him. Also present at the party: Ken Kanzaki, a young officer, Rio Aguri, Formula 1 racing driver and Guo Goda, a professional wrestler. Both, in an attempt to protect Zaizen from the robot, are mortally wounded and the Ministry of Police decides to reanimate them, now Ken and Rio are partly cyborgs and must work in the Iron Jack police squad.

Once he became a victim of an experiment on implanting a cyber costume into the body, as a result of which he lost his memory. His thirst for revenge on the initiators of the experiment was brought to Japan. It is not a real member of the “metal jack” squad, but periodically intervenes in their activities.

Video Games
Based on the anime, 2 games were released, the first game was released on January 8, 1992 . The second game was released on July 31, 1992. With the release of the game in the United States , the names of the main characters were changed to European, and the scene of action instead of Tokyo was Los Angeles . [5] The starting point was 8,800 yen . [6] The player controls three characters (the main characters of the series), each of which has unique features: Red Jack can use laser weapons, Silver Jack can make high jumps and wield a laser sword, and Blue Jack is the strongest, but cannot use weapons. During the game, the player can collect ammunition. Each level of the game consists of two phases, at first the character fights in a police suit, during the battle 3 types of things become available: weapons, ammunition and energy shield. When fighting enemies, players get extra points. In the second phase, the player can control the robot mech and inflict devastating damage to the enemy. [6]
