Luk Ivaschenko

Onions Ivaschenko [2] [3] ( lat. Allium ivasczenkoae ) is a species of monocotyledonous plants of the genus Onion ( Allium ) of the Amaryllidaceae family ( Amaryllidaceae ). First described by a botanist Yu. A. Kotukhov in 2003 [4] . Perhaps a hybrid [5] .

Distribution, description

The endemic of Kazakhstan [6] . Described from the mountain Kozlushka ( Ubinsky ridge ), from the site at an altitude of 800 m [7] .

Mesohygrophyte growing on highly wetted and marshy meadows. Blossoms in mainly in June, fruits in July — August. The fruit is a box [5] .

Security Notes

Rare view. Naturalized in the Altai Botanical Garden (Russia) [5] .
