The Macedonian Cavalry Brigade ( Serbohoron. Makedonska konichka brigada , Bulgarian. Makedonska koanichka brigade ) is a military formation of the People's Liberation Army of Yugoslavia that participated in the People's Liberation War on the territory of Vardar Macedonia .

History
The forerunner of the brigade is the 1st Macedonian cavalry squadron, formed on September 15, 1944 in the town of Sopot (now the community of Sveti Nicolas of the Republic of Macedonia). The squadron commander was Vlado Petkovsky, and the political director was Mikhailo Sofeysky. The squadron consisted of 90 people. The squadron was transformed into the 1st Macedonian cavalry division, which, in turn, was expanded to a brigade on December 29, 1944 . The brigade was personally subordinate to the NOAA General Headquarters in Macedonia. The brigade consisted of three cavalry divisions and one convoy squadron, the number of personnel was 540 people (with 199 horses). In March 1945, the brigade, together with the 9th and 12th shock brigades, moved to Western Macedonia, where they fought against Albanian ballistas.
