Moomin Adventures

The Adventures of the Moomins ( Japanese я し い ム ー ミ ン 一家 Tanoshii Muumin Ikka ) is a Japanese anime series co-created by the Dutch company Telecable Benelux BV and Japanese animation studios Telescreen Japan Inc. ”And“ Visual 80 ”based on a series of children's books by the Finnish Swedish-language writer Tove Jansson . One of the producers was the brother of the writer Lars. [2] This is the third Japanese anime series based on Jansson's books; the first, Moomin , was released in 1969; the second, New Moomin , in 1972.

It was broadcast on TV Tokyo from April 12, 1990 to October 3, 1991 . A total of 78 episodes of this anime have been released. The series was also shown in the United States ( Hawaii only; in Hawaiian ), Latin America (except Brazil ), the United Kingdom , Norway ( Norwegian and North Sami ), Iceland , Croatia , Bosnia and Herzegovina , the Netherlands , Greece , France , Spain , Germany , Denmark , Poland , Philippines , Estonia , Nepal ( Nepali language), Israel , South Africa ( Afrikaans language), Czech Republic , Slovenia , Faroe Islands ( Faroe language ), Hungary , Italy , South Korea , Hong Kong and Sweden ( Swedish and North Sami languages), Russia (on the Russian language) [3] second ezon broadcast on TV Tokyo from October 10 1991 the year of on March 26 1992 the year . In total, 26 episodes of this anime were released, and on August 8, 1992 a full-length film was released.

This anime caused the “Moomin Boom” in Japan and greatly increased Japanese interest in Finland. [2]
