Biography

Born April 30 ( May 12 ), 1811 . In 1829 he graduated from the Naval Cadet Corps .

He served in the Black Sea and Baltic Fleets . Captain-lieutenant since 1839, captain of the 2nd rank since 1848, captain of the 1st rank since 1852, rear admiral since 1858.

He took part in the Russian-Turkish war of 1828-1829 and the Crimean War . From 1837 he commanded the ships of the Baltic Fleet: in 1837-1838, Luger Peterhof [3] , in 1839-1842, Luger Oranienbaum [4] , then the steam ships Izhora , Hercules, Bogatyr and Olaf ”, since 1854 commander of the skerry rowing flotilla and gunboat battalion, since 1860 the youngest flagship of the Baltic Fleet.

November 26 ( December 8 ), 1855 , with the rank of captain of the 1st rank, he was awarded the Order of St. George IV degree [5] .

Died April 10 ( 22 ), 1865 in St. Petersburg .
