Biography

Born on January 14, 1918 in the village of Krivonosovka (now the Seredino-Budsky district of Sumy region). Ukrainian. Graduated from 6 classes. He lived in the Far East. He worked at the railway state farm, then at the Zagotseno station at Zavitaya station.

In 1939, the Red Army was called up. He served in the Black Sea Fleet, Red Navy on the cruiser Chervona Ukraine. In the battles of World War II from July 1941. He participated in the evacuation of the garrison of Odessa, the defense of Sevastopol. After the death of Sevastopol, he fought in the Marine Corps. He was wounded twice: in December 1943 and March 1944. By the summer of 1944, he fought as part of the 289th Guards Rifle Regiment of the 97th Guards Rifle Division, in which he marched until Victory. He was the squad leader, assistant platoon commander.

On August 27, 1944, in a battle for height northwest of Olesnitsa, on the left bank of the Vistula River, Guard Sergeant Migun burst into the enemy’s trench and destroyed 9 enemy soldiers with personal weapons. During the day, along with the fighters, he successfully repelled 6 enemy counterattacks.

By order in parts of the 97th Guards Division of September 3, 1944, the Guard Sergeant Migun Pyotr Semyonovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

On the night of October 31, 1944, in the area of ​​the settlement of Yablunytsia Guards, Senior Sergeant Migun participated in the capture of two “languages” as part of the group. He personally captured one, caught up when he tried to run away, and brought him to the location of the owl. At the same time, he personally exterminated two opponents with fire from a machine gun.

By order of the troops of the 5th Guards Army dated December 8, 1944, the Guard Sergeant Migun Pyotr Semyonovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

In January 1945, during the Sandomierz-Silesian operation, the 289th Guards Rifle Regiment crossed the German border, and formed the Oder River on January 26. The first combat mission to be carried out at the bridgehead was to capture the Linden railway station. On the night of January 27, in the company of the captain's guard, Koryachko penetrated the enemy rear to the north of Linden station.

January 27, 1945, being with the soldiers behind enemy lines in an ambush near the village of Rosenhain, Guard Sergeant Migun participated in the defeat of the enemy convoy. Guardsmen, taking advantage of the darkness, suddenly attacked the opponents, threw grenades at them, shot them at point blank range with machine guns and machine guns. The Nazis left on the battlefield more than fifty corpses, two cars and a tractor tractor. In this battle, Migun personally destroyed 10 opponents and captured two. For the resourcefulness and courage shown in this battle, all four - the guards, senior sergeants Migun and Yazov, the guards of the Red Army Sterpul, Katana - the commander of the guard regiment, Lt. Col. Naumenko, were presented for awarding the Order of Glory of the 1st degree.

In one of the following battles in February 1945 he distinguished himself again. On February 11, in the battle for the village of Tahlinden, the first to break into the house, from which the opponents fired heavily. By fire from a machine gun, he destroyed 5 enemy soldiers and captured 8. In this battle he was wounded, but did not leave the battlefield until the village was cleared of the enemy. For this battle he was awarded the Order of the Red Star .

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 27, 1945, for the exceptional courage, courage and fearlessness shown in battles with enemy invaders at the final stage of the Great Patriotic War , of the Guard, Senior Sergeant Migun Pyotr Semyonovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.

In June 1946, the foreman Migun was demobilized.

He lived in the village of Krasnaya Polyana, then in the village of Shevchenkovo, Novobugsky district of the Nikolaev region of Ukraine. He worked as a carpenter at a state farm, then at the Baratovsky Penkozavod. He died on August 12, 1998. He was buried in a cemetery in the village of Shevchenkovo, Novobugsky district.

He was awarded the orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, Red Star , Glory of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd degree, medals.
