Maleev, Leonid Kuzmich

He was born on July 20, 1938 in the village of Olkhovatka, the village of Ponyrovsky District, Kursk Region , in a peasant family. Father died at the front, mother raised children alone.

In 1957 he graduated from a vocational school in the city of Oryol, received the specialty of a master in textile equipment. But he didn’t work by profession, he enlisted in the Tsentrenergomontazh trust, and he went all the way through this organization. He became an electrician. The first construction site was a power station in the city of Tomsk, where six months later it was already a link. Then the construction of the Belovskaya TPP.

Since the mid-1960s, he worked in the city of Volgorechensk, on the construction of the Kostroma SDPP. The assembly site, where Maleev worked as a foreman, also participated in the construction of housing. He, a qualified boiler installer, had to retrain as a house builder. In the early 1970s, he was sent to build the Ryazan State District Power Plant. Here I learned about the awarding of a high rank.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 3, 1974 for outstanding success in fulfilling and overfulfilling the 1973 plans and socialist commitments made, Maleev Leonid Kuzmich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle gold medal.

Later, before retiring, he lived and worked in the city of Volgorechensk.

Died February 2, 2010. He was buried in the city of Volgorechensk , at cemetery number 2.

He was awarded the Orders of Lenin , the October Revolution , the Red Banner of Labor , medals, became the "Honorary Citizen of the urban district of the city of Volgorechensk."

A memorial plaque was installed on the house where the Hero lived ^[1] .
