Biography
In 1946 he graduated from the Moscow Higher School of Bandmaster , in the class “Conducting” (D. V. Svechkov) and in the class “Instrumentation” (B. T. Kozhevnikov).
In the years 1946-1953 - conductor of military bands .
In 1953-1956 he was the head of the orchestra headquarters of the Transcaucasian Military District .
In 1956-1966 - conductor and artistic director of a number of professional pop orchestras and ensembles.
Since 1966 - lecturer of the arrangement course for pop orchestras at the Military Conducting Department at the Moscow Conservatory, since 1971 - associate professor, since 1986 - professor.
Author of the books “Fundamentals of Instrumentation for a Variety Orchestra” and “Arrangement for Variety Ensembles and Orchestras”.
Braslavsky D.A. has written many musical compositions for pop orchestra and ensembles.
