Biography

Born on October 17, 1912 in the village of Verbovoe, Pologovsky district, Zaporozhye region, in a family of peasants. Ukrainian. Nonpartisan.

She began her work as a gear cutter at the Zaporozhye Motor-Building Plant in 1933. In 1941, together with the plant was evacuated to the city of Omsk. In 1951 she returned to Zaporozhye and continued work at the former enterprise. Repeatedly exceeded the production plan, led a great public work.

By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 7, 1960, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of International Women's Day, for outstanding achievements in labor and particularly fruitful social activity, Z.aida Fyopovna Tereshchenko was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor.

Twice elected deputy of the City Council. In 1967 she retired. She lived in Zaporozhye.

She was awarded the Order of Lenin , medals.
