Gusakov, Dmitry Mikhailovich

Born on January 10, 1913 in the village of Baklanovka (now Chernyansky District, Belgorod Region ) in a peasant family. Before the war, he worked as a tractor driver at MTS, then headed the tractor brigade.

Member of World War II . He fought in artillery, at the final stage of the war - in the 79th Guards Rifle Division. He was awarded two military orders, medals.

After demobilization, he returned to his homeland. He again began to work at MTS and headed the tractor brigade. Later he became the foreman of the tractor-integrated field crop brigade of the Awakening collective farm of Chernyansky district. The brigade’s high-quality and highly productive labor allowed the collective farm to achieve particularly high yields of grain and sugar beets in 1957.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 11, 1958, for outstanding achievements in the development of agriculture and the achievement of high rates in the production of grain, sugar beets, meat, milk and other agricultural products, Dmitry Mikhailovich Gusakov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the presentation Order of Lenin and the Golden Hammer and Sickle Medal.

He lived in the village of Malotroitskoe . He died on June 18, 2002.
